Value for Women is pleased to launch this Call for Applications for Gender Lens Technical Assistance (TA) for entrepreneurial investors and intermediaries in South Africa. In partnership with ANDE, three organisations will be selected to receive fully-sponsored premium Gender Lens Technical Assistance (TA). 

This call will open on 3 November 2020, and applications are due on 30 November 2020, 17:00 SAST.

Why should you participate?

Value for Women is looking to identify entrepreneurial support organisations and investors operating in South Africa that are looking to apply a gender lens in their investments or operations, particularly those benefiting township economies.  

Our selected partners will receive, free of charge, gender lens advisory services tailored to their specific priorities. This will enable the selected organisations to strengthen their support for women-led businesses and businesses that seek to develop gender-smart solutions. The aim will be to advance gender inclusion and business performance goals in your portfolio companies.

Our support will be carried out in the form of different activities that may include:

• Identifying challenges and opportunities for the development of gender inclusion strategies; 
• Providing of a menu of gender smart actions that Value for Women partners can implement; 
• Designing workshop to co-create gender smart solutions tailored to the organisation; 
• Developing a gender action plan; and
• Sharing success stories and lessons learned with the wider entrepreneurial ecosystem. 

The technical assistance programme will last approximately 7-9 months.
