Africa's Impact Investing story is just beginning to take shape, and it is already showing unique characteristics that are specific to the African context.
As a leading network of social investors and ecosystem builder, AVPA is at the forefront of this movement, conducting research, capacity-building programmes, networking events, and conversations with social investment stakeholders on and off the continent. Through this work, AVPA continues to gain invaluable lessons about what is needed to build a thriving Social Investment ecosystem in Africa. These lessons inform, among other initiatives, the design and content of our programmes like the groundbreaking Africa Impact Investing Fellowship.
Typically, AVPA holds Welcome and Orientation sessions exclusively for confirmed participants in our programmes. These sessions provide a comprehensive overview of the programme structure, design, and content, as well as an opportunity for participants to meet each other, the programme facilitators and partners, and the larger AVPA team.
However, this year, AVPA is opening up the Welcome and Orientation session for the 2023 Africa Impact Investing Fellowship to the public. This is an opportunity to hear from the AVPA team, programme Faculty, partners, and previous Fellows about the evolving programme, and how the Fellowship is building Africa's Impact Leaders.
