Givefood.ng Initiative is an emergency food relief program that aims to deliver 1 million meals to vulnerable Nigerians through the generosity of their neighbors. Babban Gona, lead organization of Givefood.ng coalition partners, leverages its proven distribution and logistics technology expertise.
11 States in Nigeria: Abuja, Anambra, Cross River, Delta, Enugu, Kano, Kwara, Lagos, Ogun, Oyo and Rivers.
Givefood.ng’s success includes 225,000 meals distributed in the first few months and has been possible due to the coalition partners who have provided variety of resources to the initiative, from technology support to food and distribution support as well as promotional activities and to cash donations. Givefood.ng currently has over 100 distribution partners; 50 volunteers; 500 unique sponsors and 500,000 visits to the www.givefood.ng website.
$185,000 for GiveFood.ng food donations to reach the goal of 1M meals for people living in vulnerable communities and $25,000 for project management and logistics. Total funds requested: $200,000.
