We are preparing to test over 100,000 people per month through a self-test sample collection process. Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) is also developing an isothermal PCR platform to provide quick test result within 30 minutes. We also want to scale up the RNA Exaction Kit for COVID-19 testing.

We have been in operation since 1977. NIMR has served the nation by developing the first Yellow Fever vaccine and first HIV virus was detected in Nigeria by NIMR. It also serves as the reference laboratory for Tuberculosis and HIV. During the pandemic, the NIMR has tested over 13,000 people and registered 21,000 for testing within 3 months.
$100,000 minimum, which would assist NIMR to increase COVID-19 testing in all the 36 States of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
